Hey, I'm On YouTube(!)

Went for a line dance party at the Taman Tun Dr Ismail Community Hall organized by the Fun Stompers line dance group 2 Saturdays ago. Wanted to blog about it but decided not to because I didn't dance very much. Spent most of the time sitting down watching my classmates have fun because I didn't know the dance steps.

I had missed quite a lot of classes lately and even though I practiced on my own, when I got onto the dance floor I suddenly experienced mental block and found myself totally confused...so it was better to sit down and enjoy the music rather than make a fool of myself bumping into other people on the dance floor and stepping on their toes (sigh).

Then I found this video of one of the dances I managed to bluff my way through...I supppose the camera-person did much editing and posted only the part where I finally caught up with the music and the dance steps after many tries...haha

My Kids Love Eggs

Eggs have not been my kids' favourite food but lately they have taken a liking to them and have been consuming eggs daily. Mr CoolTeen likes his eggs half-boiled but Miss PreTeen likes hers sunnyside-up. She has even learnt to fry eggs for herself, and she must have one egg each for lunch and dinner everyday.


I used to buy 10 eggs each time, but nowadays I have to buy 30...and they only last for about 10 days if I don't bake, less if I do. At this rate I might have to start rearing hens soon...!

Hot Weather

The weather has been REALLY hot and dry these few days, and after allowing my clean clothes to pile up in the laundry basket I finally decided to iron them. I usually dread ironing clothes because I would get all hot and sweaty...and I used to laugh at my hubby for switching on the air cond to iron clothes but now I find myself doing the same thing!

I remember it was also quite hot when we visited Singapore's Sentosa Island last year and guess what I saw...a cave with air conditioning!

2 REALLY's, NOT 3

My sis-in-law told me she likes this new Butterscotch bread from Gardenia because she could just eat it plain without having to spread any butter or jam on it. So I thought I would just buy it to try...it says on the packaging REALLY, REALLY, REALLY GOOD!!! but I think that's a bit over-rated. I give it a thumbs up but I find it a little too sweet and I am one person who loves sweet bread and pastries. Hmm...maybe 2 REALLY's would be enough...

Mini Durians

It's durian season again! A friend brought durians to church yesterday....

very, very little ones...

which he picked up at the base of a durian tree. He said he even tried opening them, but inside are just tiny little seeds with no durian flesh.
