In some countries, when we drive we always give way to traffic coming from the right hand side. My friend MK says that in Malaysia whoever is the bravest gets the right of way...especially when we come to an intersection!
A friend posted this video on Facebook and I thought I would share it here...hilarious!

Copycat Names
There's Pizza Hut...
There's Old Town Cofee...
Then there's Star Hut...
There's Old Town Cofee...
And then there's New Town Cafe...!
Saw these 2 cafes while driving the other day, and they are a few doors away from each other (notice they are the same maroon colour?). Looks like some people are taking the easy way out by copying popular names instead of coming up with their own!

18 Years Of Wedded Bliss
This is what is shown on my blog today, somewhere on the right sidebar. Yup, I have been married for 18 YEARS and "Wow" is the word to describe it!
I am not one who is very good at expressing myself, and blogging has helped me tremendously in this area...but all I can say is that it's been 18 wonderful years and we are still very much in love!
Hubby took the day off on Friday so that we could go for a quiet lunch while the kids were at school. Went for a buffet lunch at Cyberview Lodge Resort. There was a good variety of Chinese, Malay, Indian and even Japanese food, and a whole table full of my favourite kind of food...dessert!
The presentation of the food was so pretty...the salad came in little bowls and the dessert was just perfect in little dainty bite-size pieces.
The funny thing that happened was that earlier I had called up Cyberview Lodge to inquire about buffet lunch and to make reservations. Hubby had been there before and he said that the buffet lunch was at the coffeehouse but he didn't know the name of that place. I looked it up on the internet and just assumed that it was called Bistro Cascata, since it sounded like the name of a coffeehouse compared to the rest. I booked under hubby's name and when we arrived, the waiter couldn't find his name on the reservations list but being very well trained, he just politely told us that we could choose to sit anywhere we wished since the place was rather empty (it was still early).
After stuffing our tummies to the max, we took a walk around the resort admiring the gorgeous swimming pool and pretty landscaping, commenting on how our kids would love that place...when we came across a little restaurant with the words BISTRO CASCATA at the glass window. We looked at each other and went "Uh oh!" ...it turned out that I had made lunch reservations at one restaurant and eaten at another...oops!! (by the way, the coffehouse there is called The VERANDAH)

Thanks For The Memories
Took the kids to watch Toy Story 3. The kids really enjoyed it and so did I, even though we didn't watch the 3D version. I loved Toy Story 1 and 2, and this sequel brought back lots of wonderful memories, but I wonder why Bo-Peep is no longer around with the gang...she was so dainty and sweet.
My favourite character is Mr. Potato Head...don't know why but I just like the fact that he can rearrange his face and limbs at his whim and fancy! I also like the aliens with 3 eyes. When the kids were younger I always told them that I had eyes at the back of my head and I could see whatever they were doing...so they had better behave themselves! And they really did believe me for a while because they couldn't figure out how I could see that they were jumping up and down on the sofa in the living room when I was in the kitchen...until they grew up and found out about my secret....strategically placed display cabinets with reflective glass doors as well as a mirror near the main entrance!
The scene where Andy gave his toys away to the little girl Bonnie made me tear a little because I am reminded that in a few years' time my son will be going off to college too...and he has this cupboard full of toys that he has outgrown. I asked him once, quite a while back, whether he wanted to give his toys away but he replied, "I'm keeping it for my son", which means that those toys will be with us for a very long time. Hmm, maybe I can sell some off in eBay when they become collector's items many years down the road....like the Power Rangers action figures or his prized Lego Bionicles sets...!
So it's farewell to Woody and his friends...unless Pixar comes up with new adventures for them. It's really quite amazing how these guys at Pixar can come up with a phrase "To infinity and beyond!!!" that would stick in people's minds for 15 years...(yup, Toy Story 1 came out in 1995)!
