Discovering Korean Drama Series

Lately, hubby and my kids have been following some Korean drama series on viki.com . For years I have resisted the urge to watch these dramas because I understand how addictive they can become...until the 3 of them started watching them during dinner time and I got hooked too. By the way, hubby and I never allowed our kids to watch TV during mealtimes because they were such slow-eaters, but now that they are older and can eat much faster, we have relaxed the rule a bit.

So far I've enjoyed "I Do, I Do" and "My Princess". I know many people have given reviews on their blog about these 2 dramas so I won't review them here.

I Do, I Do
My Princess
One thing I discovered very quickly is how a person has to literally focus all attention on the TV screen in order to read the subtitles, which means that no multitasking (for example: doing household chores, reading/sending sms, surfing the internet) can be carried out while watching each episode. Perhaps it's time to pick up a new language...Korean!

Quite a few years ago my hubby and I got addicted to a Korean drama. I remember one afternoon we placed 2 mattresses in the living room for my 2 girls (my youngest daughter was only 1-2 years old) to take a nap while we were watching the drama. We were so engrossed by the story that we didn't realize our youngest daughter was sucking the toe of her elder sister who was sleeping soundly. It was so funny!

That was the first and last korea drama series I watched so far :-)

Hi Mary,

Yes, I enjoyed watching her too. The latest drama my whole family liked was "May Queen" :)
